Browns Summit

Browns Summit is a small community northeast of Greensboro in Guilford County. It is near the intersections of North Carolina Highway 150 and U.S. Route 29, along what will be the future I-785.

Browns Summit is a fast-growing area because of its proximity to Greensboro. There are many new housing areas in progress, especially on the NC Hwy 150 corridor. Once the Greensboro Urban Loop is completed, Browns Summit will lie a few miles outside of the loop.

Browns Summit was named after Jesse Brown who had acquired the land in 1858. His farm was the at the highest point on the line when the Richmond and Danville Railroad was built.
